I bought an Elise a few weeks ago. I ideally wanted an Exige but got fed up of saving and thought i could have some roof off fun with an Elise.

Thanks
Feirny I remember your Trophy to, great cars. I miss mine, nearly got a Clio 200 but thought get the Lotus. I read about the 111s it is the better drive apparently. I went with the R though as I wanted a bit of a "kick" after my old VX220T.
Only thing that gets on my nerves at the moment, it difficult to heel and toe. The accelerator is higher than the brake pedal, my foot is more or less pointed up vertical to do it. Just can't get it right

Looks smashing! I've also got a Clio Trophy and love how agile and lightweight it is with reasonable running costs for the performance. I've got it into my head an Elise/Exige would be a nice performance progression with a similar ethos...once I've done a lot of saving!
How quick is your Elise? Is it a K-series or Toyota engine? I find all the different models quite confusing!

First impressions after a week of ownership are that it's equally as impressive as the Trophy. How quick is your Elise? Is it a K-series or Toyota engine? I find all the different models quite confusing!
I went from Trophy to R26 to the Elise and it's a perfect progression.
Not updated this for a while. Taxed it again in March but only driven it a couple of times.
Only things to report are had it serviced last year, fitted two new rear dampers and bushes on the back.
It wasn't getting up to temp, suspected the stat which was confirmed and replaced by Gav at Unit 4. Other than that, nothing to really add. I would still love an Exige or maybe a 211, Elise is such good value though. Maybe next year.
Had a run out with two mates at the weekend, way down on power but didn't do to badly!

Well I have put it up for sale

I taxed it and took it out at the weekend and really enjoyed it. So I aren’t that bothered if it doesn’t sell.
Although I have had it a while and fancy a change. Caterham 7 is favourite at the minute but I have never driven one.
