T5 Gear Lever

Hi,

Anyone on here know if the gear lever (the whole mechanism held in with 4 bolts) from the later S10 type T5 (Lever at the front of the tail housing|)
will fit on the earlier T5 with the lever further back and the additional linkage? (Isuzu tail housing?)

there was a whole thread about this a couple of weeks ago. It does fit, in fact its used on the newer Tuscans and Sagarii

Interesting thread, but doesn't help with my question.

Is the bolt on gear lever mechanism (The whole pivot etc that fastens to the gearbox box with 4 bolts) interchangeable between the 2 tail housings?

Reason being, have the earlier box with the lever to the rear and I need a replacement. But ones to fit the chevy S10 tail housing (the one with the lever further forward) are much easier to get hold of.
