Which office phone system?
Discussion
Hi all,
This is something I know little about and not something we change often (twice in the last 20 years!).
We have a good provider that has sent me a quote, just wanted some thoughts on what people use.
8 ISDN2
Full call recording
11 phones
Call reporting, wall board etc
Install & training etc etc
How much should I be looking at?

As you would expect me to say, not enough information. They could charge you a pittance for the system and then charge skyhigh call rates. Got to look at call volumes as well and call mix.
Is that 8 x pairs of ISDN2 - so 16 channels? or 4 x ISDN2 for 8 channels. With only 11 phones do you really need 8 channels? Look at your call history for the past year, what was the maximum outbound simultaneous calls in the past year (need to be a bit clever with . Excel work to assess this) Then if standard business rule of thumb is double it to reflect inbound calls as well. But if Inboudn customer supoport centre then Inbound volume will clearly be much higher, or outbound sales call centre, then inbound will be much lower than your analysis of outbound etc etc.
Do you even need ISDN? Have you looked at a hosted solution run over EFM/FTTC with Assured/QoS service? (or is that all double dutch to you?)
