Nice car friendly hotel near Florence?
Discussion
I can recommend Relais la Corte di Cloris - look up relaiscloris.com
They have a couple of parking spots allocated, and if they are gone, have an arrangement with a nearby garage where you can store the car.
One word of warning - there is a little known central area charge - a bit like the congestion charge. It's worth a google to get the details as I got humped by a car rental company for passing on details to the local authority at £35 a go. Not naming names, but the company might rhyme with Mavis.
That said, I haven't heard from Firenze Carabinieri!

Stayed here, car friendly and 15 minute free shuttle into town. Stay in the old villa if possible.

I highly recommend the VILLA CAMPESTRI. http://www.villacampestri.it
It's North of FIRENZE near MUGELLO.
It's a 15th centrury Palazzo which is family run. Food is very good (go for the half board) and the wine list is extensive.
Prices are reasonable though it can get busy at the hight of the tourist season and there is no aircon but it's up in he hills so it's cooler anyway.
Now the kicker...... The roads north of them are FANTASTIC!!! Parts of which are part of the Mille Miglia.

Comfy, friendly, good food and drink, great roads (which you can drive in a spirited fashion) not much more you need, which why I try to get there 1 or 2 times a year.
