Three warnings for owners:

1. If you suddenly hear a buzzy type noise from the arse end of your car when on or near full steering lock, check and correct the hydraulic fluid level pronto or you'll shag the (I imagine v. expensive) hydraulic pump. Can also be associated with sporadic clutch heaviness. Happened to me tonight, 6000 miles after an OPC 24k service, but fortunately close to home.

2. If you top up with Pentosin CHF11S yourself (I have a couple of tins in the garage from when I replaced the clutch cylinder), note that it really doesn't take much to go from a dry dipstick to YOU'VE PUT TOO MUCH IN! You may then find yourself mouth pipetting the excess back out using a length of brake bleeding hose.

3. Pentosin CHF11S tastes like shit and is no doubt very toxic. Had to wash my mouth out repeatedly with whisky and unfortunately forgot to spit it out.

A handy tool for removing overfill from any tank / container is the mini bellow and pipe for blowing out holes you get in an electric drill set. No more drinking brake fluid!

Maybe should have rinsed my mouth out with a penis colada then.

Next visit in a decent tool shop I will try to get one of those big steel, syringe-type excess liquid removers!

Anyway, I reckon it's worth owners' while having a tin of Pentosin in the garage for topping up this reservoir. As far as I know you can only get it from Porsche, so your local motor factor won't be able to bail you out on a Sunday.

Good point. I bet mine is overfull. I better run home, pipette, and rinse repeatedly.
