1. Stopping in the town centre near a couple of fancy bars to take a phone call. Then getting off the phone to find three mini-skirt clad blonde beauties outside the window. They ask if my car's a fancy taxi. I tell them it depends on where they're going. I then spend quarter of an hour driving them around the town, long legs draped all over the place (just wouldn't have been the same if the rear seats were a decent size ), followed by dancing the night away in a nightclub with them all.

2. Sitting at the traffic lights in Leeds city centre one evening alongside a DB7 Vantage. Approving nod from each of us. Kid (12 years old or so?) walks across the road, then turns to DB7 driver and shouts "here mister, that guys car sounds better than yours". Said driver's face was a picture

3. Any of the "super-bangs" following filling it up with Optimax. Especially when there was a load of Maxxers in VTRs sat around trying to rev their drain-pipe clad hatchbacks to prove some kind of point.

Here's one of mine from May last year.

Heading for the first Cerbera weathermen meet, dropped my wife off and pulled
away down a long narrow road.

Within seconds, a car pulled out from a parking space and stopped dead in
the middle of my path.

Guy jumps out another car and goes to get in the car blocking me.
Sees me and signals for me to go around the car to the right side and squeeze
through via an empty parking space.

As I got level, a girl obviously going clubbing got out of another car with very little on
and the bloke guiding me through says to me:

"Fat car mate" and pointing at the semi clad girl he continued with
"You can shag my girlfriend if I can ride your car?"

All I could do was grin back at him with a wink and I blasted away sideways.

Now why did I not get those kind of offers when I wasn't happily married?

overtaking about 30 cars/lorries in a row and my dad turning to me to say that it does 115 in third and ***in fourth

not exactly talking Kilometers either, officer - you cant prove anything, I may just be telling porki pies... though the 30 vehicles would testify otherwise LOL!!!

Also - talking to dad about how a remap would increase the power noticeably, only for it to light up the tyres in fourth @ a reasonably sane speed in a straight line... (was greasy, but still)

W@%ker in a drop top Renault cut me up THREE times before the road opened up and I let rip...lit the rears up in three gears before I calmed down!

For some reason my BMW doesn't do that...

It has to be the first time I had the gear change light lit. In Hatfield Tunnel in third. I thought I was used to noise and mayhem coming from two previous Griffs but when I did this I thought I was going to wet my pants

Sunday.....on the way to meet up with the Suffolk peeps.

Cruising along, with the Peril up front in a Cerb, Griff, Griff, T350 mini convoy and as we approach a Volvo in the nearside lane he is talking on his mobile, looking in his mirror and frantically winding down his window.

As we pass by he sticks his mobile out of the window as far as his arm will go.......

Course...the other Tivs following then throttle back as they approach and give it large for him as they pass........the look on his face was a picture.

All good fun........

Don't know about you, but after the 50th mile of those tunnels, it got a bit, well, dull!

Shortly after we got it I took an approving friend & Mandy out to see just how fast it was (so three of us in the car), glanced in the mirror after shifting in to fourth to see three sets of fat tyre marks all the way back up the road behind us

Taking a different mate out who couldn't stop telling me just amazingly fast the new M3 he'd been diving was. After we stopped he said wow 170kmp that quickly, that IS fast, I said no MPH, he went quite for a bit then piped up with That M3's sh*t

The Cerb with sports 'zorst was louder than the Tuscan as standard. And about the same as the Tusc with CCC cans on the back. But since the Tusc was de-catted there's no comparison. Just ask Greenie how loud it was...

Really??? Is that maybe due to the mangy headers on the cerb? I've never seen the headers on a Speed 6, are they 3-1's twice? or 6-1's and then back out into two after the cat?? whats setup and the diameter?

Any sound samples?

I can assure you the James' was the loudest car on The Hoon. It was the only car that could be heard the other side of the Chimay circuit-3 miles away. In fact in sure I could hear it in Germany when I was still in Belgium.

However of course I am biased but the cerb sounded better IMHO.

I still enjoyed the tunnels after 50 miles. Perhaps they are one of those wonderful things(like beer) that I can never get bored of.

I would like to think that his car made enough noise in 3 days to last the whole week.

Mind you the headaches didn't clear up when it retired. Can't think why.

Definately driving through my town, exhaust popping an banging away, and a group of teenagers all taking photo's of it with their camera phones. Quality feeling!
