Draught, original is a bit too gassy for me, however the export stuff from Nigeria knocks me sideways...7.5%

In all honesty, I'd drink any form of Guinness over lager anyday.

London watered standard draught. (My tipple).

Irish is too smooth like a girls drink. The cold stuff just numbs your tastebuds, the cans are shite and the stuff brewed in The Gambia is the worse than Absynthe.

All my opinion. When they close the London brewery, I will stop drinking it.

I had some of the extra cold when I was over for BTaP (can't get it in the States). I must say that I prefer the draught especially when it is (1)served at the right temp (2)not out of a bottle and (3)given the proper amount of foam on top... (I was going to say head, but I didn't want to derail this thread )

What!?

How can it be "too smooth"?

"No, sorry, I can't drink it unless it tastes like Toilet Duck...." ?

Infidel!

I either start or end the night's drinking with a Guinness - it seems to work that way and more than two pints of it of a night tends to dominate the tastebuds a little too much. Also, it's got to be just straight draught - extra cold is just too cold, to the point where it freezes and numbs your mouth and you can't taste it at all, completely defeating the point.

Ah, but technically, its stout. So not beer.

Get yourself over to Ireland, find a small pub off the beaten track, sample 6 or 7 pints of the black stuff and then come back and see if you can say the same.

Bloody nectar it is....

Agreed, but you should try a pint of half Irish original and half irish cold, mutts nutts.

and for the moaners over here about the cold you should try it half and half as well.

Outside of Ireland it's pants....don't bother..

Even in the North it can be hit and miss....

Cold Flow is for the people that can't really drink it the coldness kills the flavour.
Best served on draught with some nice fresh oysters...yummy

You need to get yourself down to Ned's in Holywood. The finest pint I have ever tasted bar none.
