Pre 1974 MG Midget Wanted

I will shortly be building a Westfield XI and need a pre rubber bumper MG Midget or Austin Healey Sprite to use as a donor car.

What I need is a car that is totally beyond rescuing although I do need a V5 and preferably complete (ie engine, gearbox, rear axle, diff, front uprights, steering column/rack and gauges) although I will rebuild everything I need the knackered items for exchange units.

I have lost out on Ebay so many times that is starting to get on my nerves so I wonder if anybody on this site has or know's of one for sale.

Have you tried any of the MG dismantlers? My mate does a lot of business with the Welsh MG Centre in Wrexham and has mentioned they sometimes have cars in either for breaking or re-sale as project cars.

Will you need a v5? Other than to prove ownership...

Westy will need IVA, surely?
