Any ideas/recommendations for a nice weekend break in the Dorset area? Thinking of taking the loved one away for a few days, suppose I will have to let the wife tag along
Taking into account the need for some nice suitable roads of course!!

Well, you could do worse than head for Studland, the drive Wareham>Corfe Castle>Studland has a good combination of fast flowing sweepers and tight second gear stuff. Once you get there, there are plenty of places to stay (one of them, the Bankers Arms pub, even advertises in Sprint), the seasidy bits are OK, and then there's always the drive back!

There's a lovely Relais et Chateaux hotel called the Summer Lodge in Evershott. Bit pricey, but absolutely fantastic place...

All sorted: The Worget Manor at Wareham beckons,(I know...ask for suggestions then ignore them and go for the opposite!!) Optimax is a rarity then? Advisable to plan the excursions around this problem or will I have to settle for the diluted versions???

Dorchester High East Street (B3150)
Bere Regis A35/A31 roundabout
Derby's Corner A349/B3074 roundabout

If you're staying in Wareham, give the road to Arne a try.
