hi, i know you'll all sigh at this, but what oil do you guys top up with? my car uses very little oil but i'd love to know what grade you all use,my Tuscan does tell me but im sure I've heard different?

Mobil 1 New Life 0W-40 - a fully synthetic oil.

Depends on what is in there, E.G Racing Green use to use Mobil 1 0W40 fully synthetic, where as STR8SIX use Mobil 3000 5W40 fully synthetic. I believe Powers Performance only recommend semi synthetic, best to call who ever services your car to find out.

This is what TVR Power recommended to me after they did my rebuild. In fact it is in their standard warranty terms

But if you ask why you should use semi synthetic you get the answer "because it's thicker". .. Bizarre. Especially when the grade and viscosity is on the can (regardless of the grade) and the fact that semi synth degrades quicker.
