Grrr. Only had the 9-5 1 week and some clutz clipped the drivers side door mirror...smashed the mirror, and cracked the casing too.

As I'm a complete tight-@rse, I haven't had it fixed yet, and it's been taped up with sellotape etc. Have decided that now is the time to get it done once and for all - does anybody know the best place to get a cheap replacement? I don't really want to shell out loads of £...so what's the best option?

Car is a 51 reg 9-5 Aero and I live in SW11, by the way.

There are several Saab breakers who might have the correct coloured mirror casing in stock.

Google up 'Neo Brothers' and 'Two Stroke to Turbo'.

Two Stroke are good but not cheap. They sell a lot on ebay. Have heard very mixed reports about NeoBros.

I bought a second hand towbar from SalvoGroup in Derbyshire by mail order, with minimal fuss. Looking at their site it appears that they're not currently breaking a 9-5, but that doesn't mean they don't have a spare mirror in stock from a previous dismantle

Have a look at their website

Twas a quick and easy transaction.

no joy from breakers, but haven't looked for a while - will get onto it again now.

Had the 9-5 serviced last month, and quoted £371.25 for a new wing mirror.
