Task Management ?

I am just wondering how you all manage your workload at wok, i.e. keeping lists of jobs so nothign gets forgotten, my job is getting more complex and I have ended up thinking I am up to date and forgotten the odd thing because it has dropped off the radar and come back to bite me.

So, manual or software based, which software ?

Day book. Nice physical thing, none of this IT malarkey. Less important stuff on email gets done if it is done, if not I wait for the second or third chaser

I have a one note page for work tasks listed by projects I'm working on. I colour code them to show todays, tomorrows and the next day's tasks. Anything in yellow is to be done today for example. It's not the most sophisticated solution but it works well for me and I can view the page from work, home, phone, etc.

I have one Note but need to learn how to use it properly, maybe that is todays after hours task.

Physical notes are fine but I tend to forget my notebook between home and office.

A ticketing system. As much as I hate them, it keeps me on top of my work. And if it's a long project, there are notes for me to read.

yeah, we have one of those and that works for some of my workload but it doesnt all come in that way and its a pain in the arse to use.

Good for making lists and prioritising stuff.

Awesome. We used to use it qt work. Thanks for the feedback

We use Trello as well. Another team at work uses AgileZen. Another team uses cards on a white board. These all seem to work on way or another.

We now use Jira Online with the Agile boards, both systems were/are supported with whiteboards for easy view during standup in the mornings.
