Hi, newbie here. Wondering if anyone could tell me if 6 foot 6 of me can fit in a 968 cs for a trackday. Dad wants me to have a go in one on a trackday for my 21st (good present!), and i need to check i fit in it, i do squeeze into most cars. I know it's cheeky, but if anyone lives in Bristol or London (or in between), and has one, i would be forever indebted to them if they'd let me sit in one to check! Sorry if this is out of order, thanks
Alex

youre pushing it. dont forget to add the height of the helmet! as a rule however, most trackday cars are low slung and tight fitting so the problem cant be confined to just 968s.
facetious answer would be to ask if the CS has a sunroof.
More helpfully, why not simply contact the trackday organiser or supplier of the car?

you're right about contacting the car owner (and trackday organiser) who is a mate of dad's, dad's away for a while, but not really sure why i didn't think of it! Might stubborn it out regardless as i want a go!

I am 6' 0" and have a ClubSport and with seats on the lowest bracket setting and with the seat cushion removed, my head with a helmet on is almost wedged against the roof lining. At 6'6" you would be damned uncomfortable if not dangerously wedged in. I think your only hope is to find a CS with the comfort specification seats - they might be more adjustable or a CS where the seat has been welded to the floor without runners/brackets.

I live in SE LOndon and, if you are ever in this neck of the woods then you are more than welcome to try it out for size.

Steve,
We clearly have different limb:torso ratios !
I am 6'1" and fitted very comfortably in my CS with a crash helmet. Seat on lowest setting as yours, head close to roof but not touching, seat not all the way back, and no need to remove any padding. I would have said the Recaro's are lower than the comfort seats ? Only issue I ever had with passengers was width - Those with generous waistlines need not apply !

Thanks guys, i am 6 6, but quite small (thin!) for it, and have a history of being stubborn enough to make myself fit in cars! If i head back to london anytime soon i may well take you up on the fitting offer! Thanks all again

Stevewall/GR4 sunroof or non sunroof cars?

I think the Recaros on lowest setting are way lower than comfort seats.

Iguana

Mine's a sunroof model. I'm also rather round on the waistline but have adapted my body to fit into the seats.
