Called em, they don't know what it is apart from the fact its likely to be RM?

No luck so far in getting anything off them except for the fact its a TVR paint code.

I wanna local source, and would obviously prefer it coded rather than a colour chart match.

P.S. Not ICI

Thanks to paddy, it appears I have 'Nightfire Red'

I think everyone who sees the car will understand me when I say this is the new blue

Update, in case anyone listening. Nightfire red is a french paint (well actually its an ink) mainly used on renault, although I have to admit I've never seen a renault with this colour on.

According to the local dealer it superceeded rosso, as rosso was known to fade and nightfire doesn't.

It does translate to a conventional ICI paint number Woohoo.

I am now off to paint my anthracite wheels nightfire red, possibly my window wipers and a rim around the tyres, not forgetting the brake calipers

I remember someone mentioning this one, but who does carbon strip replacements and fitting for front and rear, are they better than standard, lastability wise?

You are in good company though - The Speed 12 now wears Nightfire Red.

Do you mean the window strips. If so then tvrbodyshop replaced all mine when the car had a respray. I'm sure you could order them if you need them.

They are held on by a couple of screws IIRC just so you know and don't go trying to yank them off.

The main problem is the laquer gets stonechipped then just peels further and further ending up looking cr@p.

My old Cerb was Nightfire Pearl Red and I was led to believe that it was a Rover colour?

Got to admit that the Cerb looks superb in this colour though....
