Mr. avinalarf might answer your question with 'Yes',
because someone must know.

From my research today they are:

42.86mm OD x 38.1mm ID x 2.38mm cross section.

My local bearing traders does em for £2.50.

How can you have a 4.76mm difference ID to OD with a 2.38mm cord?

I would say this is not correct.

42.86 - 38.1 equals 4.76, divided by 2 equals 2.38

Should have considered that more carefully. generally you just quote the major diameter and chord as one defines the other, but a failure of thinking on my part, apologies.

I'm slightly surprised AM should have designed for non-metric O-ring sizes.
However, I may be wrong...will measure when I have the opportunity.

Just checked: I'm using O-Ring 37.60 x 2.40 mm FPM75 since quite some time now.

I guess the material is flexible enough to make both sizes work...

38 x 2.5 may give you a bit more squish and stay metric.....
