My car is booked in for warranty inspection next week. Just curious if there's any possible negotiation with the OPC on cost? I'll go for the 12 month warranty but if there's a deal to be made on the 2nd year I'd consider it.

Cheers.

A more likely scenario is that you negotiate 10% discount on the work required to get it through the 111.
Good luck!

As far as I'm aware, no scope to change the cost of the warranty, but paying up-front for two years is cheaper than paying for 1 year at a time.

You can reduce the cost by removing the breakdown cover that is normally included. There maybe scope to negotiate on the Labour charge for the check itself (and of course any work that needs to be done).

My OPC wavered the cost of the 111 point check... Seems that's quite typical when negotiating. Did mine last week but didn't opt for the breakdown cover, just warranty extension

What's the saving by not going for the breakdown cover?

Waived the cost when a check us being carried out alongside a service etc, but surely not just do the check for free (on its own)??!

Ye, it wasn't on its own. I was extending the warranty for a year and i negotiated with them to not charge me for the 111 point check which is necessary and I just paid for the warranty cost in the end
