Going from some of the threads about about mad high prices, IF you were going to sell yours, what would you value your car at?

would want more than 20k for mine....

mods.... This is not an advert!

Hmm, with all the mods I've probably ruined mine really so would be lucky to get what I got it for!

I like it though biglaugh

I'd probably put it up for £13,000 and have to wait a long time for the right sort of nutter to come along who'd also love it.

Ours is also not for sale (Mrs Araf would have my knackers for earrings if I moved it on).

I think there's two prices here.

1/ What you realistically think the vehicle can achieve if you had to sell (current market value), and

2/ What it's worth to you (what it would cost for you to consider selling, even if you don't want to).

For me, the former would probably be around the £20k mark, and the latter would be closer to £35k (so that I could have my nuts sewn back on). wink

Difficult to price a ute, one minute they are advertised for 14k then the next around 8k, so I'll go in the middle (once finished)

In theory I'd say mine was around the 7-8k area, but I'd want 9 really.

Has done 100k now though.

Unlikely to be for sale any time soon.

Modified NA 04 CV8 with a DIY tune...probably the last thing a buyer is looking for. Only 41k miles, 1 previous owner car though. A buyer would really have to want it to get it away from me. £15k, priced to not sell I suppose.

I haven't got a clue what my E3 would be worth. But like others have said, it depends on what someone is willing to pay.

The problem we're always going to struggle with is that so few are ever for sale that it's difficult to gauge sentiment for them from month to month.

Not that I can see me selling up any time, but when I do, I hope that the rareness of the car and the keenness of the buyer to get a rare car will help the price in my favour smile

How would you value a GTS VT2? Other than mine, I don't remember the last time one came up for sale. Guessing (hoping) its rarity will add a bit to its value when the time comes. With what's been done recently, as a private sale I'd want around £8k. Less than that and I'd just put it in storage.

The common theme here seems to be a price that someone's willing to pay for the 'right' car.

Rarity plus personal modifications means that most of us think we have the perfect car.... if the buyer agrees then you've got your premium.

I wouldn't part with mine for less than 9k, and I'd hope that it would shift pretty quicky at something starting with an 8 if I needed to sell.

Same as everybody else, can't see me selling anytime soon and how do you price something that you've spent over double the purchase price again on mods? The stupid thing is I know that most mods add little value, but it doesn't stop me wanting to throw yet more money at it hehe.

I'd say anything north of 25k would get me seriously thinking but can't imagine anybody willing to pay that! laugh

I've heard that they're worth less with ITBs

And as for a blue VT2 GTS, best only for parts really.
