Cerbera and Tuscan slave cylinder
Discussion
Is anyone (apart from gbbird
) waiting for cerbera and tuscan slave cylinders? If so can you let me know 'cos i have chance of getting a load of these made in the next couple of weeks to a higher spec than the TVR offering. I could really do with at least 20 (better 30)orders to get them at the right price.

I know back in the mists of time when the Cerb one packed up I got a TVR replacement, and at the time I thought they were pretty scarce items. In sourcing parts for the Tuscan though, there's more of these out there than you can shake a stick at. I'm using a McLeod slip-on hydraulic bearing. This adjusts for different spacing between the box and clutch. I've ditched the T5 in favour of a TKO600, but from the catalogue there are T5 versions too - www.mcleodind.com/catalog_htm/PAGE12.HTM
Would one of these not just slip on and adjust?

I guess .. but if there *was* a direct replacement available you'd not have to look at other alternatives.. and that's the market I'm wanting to target.
There is someone out there already making slave cyls, but I've had some on order since before xmas and they still aren't here .. what i want is to be able to supply a cheaper direct replacement but to a higher quality finish and I'm trying to judge what the market is.
If *i'm* waiting for slave cyls then presumably other people are too, or they're all buying the horrendously overpriced poor quality item that TVR supply themselves..

Mine came in a week or so from Texas...with a nice gearbox and clutch too
. Looks a good bit of kit - the swivelling 'tails' on the pressure and bleed lines are neat. Current exchange rate not to be sniffed at
