Needing my own personal insurance for the new BGTS.

Have not had my own car for years but have driven a company car for over 10 years no claims.

I am sure the last time I done this with privilege they accepted the company no claims with letter.....
Is there anyone else who has had this situation and who have they used.

Thanks

CIS and Porsche insurance will both accept a letter on company headed paper stating years of no claims.

Did this last time I came out of company car scheme with no issues, and already spoken to both and they have both said just to send the letter to receive full no claims discount. I wanted to check before my CGTS arrives at the end of the year.

Thanks

Could imagine porsche insurance being quite high?

Getting some good quotes online, hopefully they will be happy with the letter.

Porsche insurance was £840 for the year on CGTS based on car value £72k and 9000 miles per annum. Importantly that was without tracker.

CIS wanted tracker to be fitted, quote was £640 per annum.

Tried a couple of others but both refused to quote if tracker wasn't fitted.

My understanding is that Porsche insurance don't request a tracker unless it's above £75k.

Will give them a shout in the morning. Swinton and royal said they wouldn't even start to look at a quite without the tracker.

Direct line quote sounds a fair deal.

Porsche Insurance for SWMBO and me, full no claims, clean licence, 10k miles per year including 2k business use , car garaged £350.

Oddly I found that garaging the car put the premiums UP slightly. On the drive parking gave the lowest quotes (on the street, not surprisingly, the highest). The reason I saw quoted was there was more liklihood of damaging the car while putting it in the garage than it being nicked from the drive. Bizarre.

Very good quote though! I've always insured with Porsche, our last one, a Carrera S 997/2 was £480.
