Who are your go-to online advisors for all your training matters?

Who do you always check first for explanations of correct form, for example?

Or whose videos do you like to watch, simply to sit back and 'get inspired'?

I'm sure we all have favourites, but with so many out there, I'm also pretty sure that we're missing out on some good stuff.

In time honoured fashion:

For lifting form: Scott Herman - he's something of the typical all-American jock, but I really trust his advice on form https://www.youtube.com/user/ScottHermanFitness

For inspiration: I really enjoy the goings-on at Berlin's Strength gym. Guys who are serious about their lifting but who have a really good time with it and are always giving themselves odd challenges.

You can catch their stuff via some of the regulars there:
BodybuildingRev https://www.youtube.com/user/BodybuildingRev
Johannes Luckas https://www.youtube.com/user/TheTrevor2005
Romano Rengel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZw-muZmpilKQ3fQl...

I didn't "get on" with Elliot Hulse initially as his videos come across as a bit gimmicky (graffiti, rap music etc) but his approach is quite sensible.

Herman and Scooby make me cringe, still.

A (very big - as in 120+kg and what I would think is <5%bf) friend of mine is a PT at Phil Learney's gym in London. People do love that guy.

Omar Isuf is great for form videos, and general tricks and tips.

CT Fletcher is great for motivation.

Mike Rashid is good to watch for bodybuilding/volume. The way him and his crew (including CT Fletcher) approach lifting is unlike anyone else I've seen. Heavy weights, huge volume.

Have just watched this video right through - absolutely fascinating!

The guys at Berlin Strength have a mobility coach in for a full workshop looking at mobility issues during squats.

It's 1 hr 22 mins long - so bring drinks and snacks biggrin - but the insights are so impressive, from how things we do fool our central nervous system into reducing our performance, to warm-up exercises which have amazing results on our squat mobility.

Bearing in mind that the guys attending the workshop are all big lifters and PTs in their own right, you can see the genuine revelations they experience.

It's in German, obviously, but the subtitles are first class. Stick it on 'full screen' and enjoy!

Have you managed to watch it through yet?

I went back to it yesterday afternoon and did the exercise from the 45' mark with them. Jesus they were tough to start with! hehe

Big difference between the mobility in one hip/leg/ankle and the other too.

It soon had an impact on my squat range and comfort though!

Interesting to note Romano's comments regarding his discovery of how poor his mobility was without his weightlifting shoes. Goes back to a conversation I was having on here a couple of weeks back about (not) wearing a belt for light/moderate lifting and my point that until you are a big lifter it should all be about the purity of form and allowing your body to learn.

IMO, naturally; other opinions are available etc.

Is it a hands on type thing? I went to one with Benedikt Magnusson but it was really just a talk, didn't learn a whole lot if im honest. At the start he asked how many of the world's top deadlifters have perfect technique. None. Er, thanks Beni.

Just got a ticket for an Ed Coan seminar for July though. 4 hours hands on and 1 hour Q&A. Can't wait.

Have been enjoying watching Omar's videos this morning. Quite like how he does the preaching bit but hands over to someone qualified to do the technical stuff.
