Hello everyone,
New member here hoping to be able to contribute in the future!
After 12 years of BMW's including a brand new E46 M3 in 2002, I finally took the plunge last May and bought the car I had dreamed of since being a teenager, a Porsche 911.
I have started Porsche ownership gently and bought a rather conservative silver / black 996 C2 tiptronic. After 9 months I have the following thoughts:
1, Compared to the M3 the suspension is comfortable for such a performance car.
2, I like the tiptronic and will stick with it in the future.
3, The running costs (so far) are no more than the M3.
4, Performance is adequate for my needs and compares with the M3, the 996 has better low down grunt than the Beemer.
5, I prefer the Porsche interior to any BMW I have had, the quality just seems that step higher.
6, I am hooked!!!!!
So what next, I am already thinking of the next move....I really fancy a C4s or even waiting a year or so for a second hand 997. Any thoughts on the second Porsche....budget around 50k?
Kev.

Welcome!
You have a great choice for £50K, I reckon go test drive the cars mentioned on this thread so far.
As a taster, what about this:
