Help me find a new watch please
Discussion
Looking for a new watch but am struggling to find what I am after. I want a watch that has all the hour numbers on the outside of the dial face and the hour and minute marks inside them. The only watch I can find with this design is a Laco Tundra.

I quite like the look of this but it's at the top of my budget; and I am waiting to find out if it can be worn with a stainless steel bracelet rather than a rubber strap.
To give you an idea it's to replace a Citizen 2100 (no longer made) which I purchased because the numbers are on the outside of the dial and had a stainless steel bracelet.

Budget is anything less than £800 which is what the Laco would cost with a bracelet. Not bothered if it's a quartz or automatic movement; it's the dial design and the bracelet which are important to me.

Easier to suggest jumping on chrono24 and filtering the watches to show up to £1000, to allow for budget movement and negotiating down.
Anything that piques your interest but unsure of, just ask.
Thanks for that suggestion. It just makes me wish I had a bigger budget Anything that piques your interest but unsure of, just ask.

However I did find this around my budget. A 24 hour watch could be interesting; although I have never heard of Glycine before; but then I hadn't heard of Laco either.

Anything wrong with the Eco-Drive? I have had mine for 12 years and found it was powering down. A few weeks in the window on Sunny mornings and it's working well again
The crown came off in my hand when I went to change the hour when the clock's went back. I took it to a Jewelers who said their Horologist could repair it. The Horologist told the Jeweler to send it to Citizen. The Jewelers say it's with Citizen and will take ages for it to be looked at and Citizen say there is a 10 day turn round time. It's been gone for 4 weeks so I have given up hope of ever seeing it again. plasticpig said:

Glycine is one of the many Swatch Group brands – so have no worries about who they are, etc, if they have something that you like the look of.

The small hand with the arrowhead moves around the dial once per 24 hours, but the other two hands work as a normal 12 hour watch (the idea is that you set the GMT hand to one location and the hour hand to another - Eg UK and somewhere sunny on holiday
) Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs. How about a Steinhart Apollon?

A bit of an acquired taste, but I really like mine and a lot of watch for the money.

Glycine are a respected make, but that's not a 24 hour watch as such, it's a GMT.

No apology needed; I did wonder how it worked. The small hand with the arrowhead moves around the dial once per 24 hours, but the other two hands work as a normal 12 hour watch (the idea is that you set the GMT hand to one location and the hour hand to another - Eg UK and somewhere sunny on holiday

The Apollon is exactly the sort of thing I am looking for. It looks like Steinhart do a titanium bracelet for it as well so I think it may be a winner.
http://www.chrono24.com/en/laco/tundra--id2753692.... - Laco Tundra for under 1000GBP.
I have a steinhart - not the model above but can vouch for the quality of these watches.

Seen that thanks. It's roughly the factory RRP of 800 EUR. The "official" stainless steel bracelet is £179 though which adds quite a wedge to the price. The UK retailer is selling the watch at £695 which seems very overpriced. If I go for the Laco I will be buying a bracelet from elsewhere.I have a steinhart - not the model above but can vouch for the quality of these watches.
