Renault 1.9 diesel engine Help!
Discussion
I have recently bought a 1995 Renault Express Van (Sold at Renault extra in UK) which is fitted with a 1.9 normally aspirated diesel engine. Before I bought it the timing belt had snapped. Rather than repair the engine (I know that there is at least 2 valves damaged) I am considering getting a replacement engine.
The Vin Number is VF1F40R413899185 which indicates the engine type is F40R
The diesel pump fitted is Lucas.
The vehicle is in France and Ive failed to locate a Renault Express engine there, all I get is a Gaellic shrug. I am currently in UK returning soon. My question is `What engines will be a straight swop for my current one` and `If damage is confined to the valves would you suggest justchanging the cylinder head and what cylinder heads will fit?`
Many thanks
Steve

A 95 Express should normally be fitted with a F8Q motor 1,9 diesel?
These people should know what may fit if you have an F40R in there:
