...ever pulled over a PHer? Sorry if this has been asked before.

If so, perhaps it's best not to ask what happened!

Not that I've been aware of at the time. Is there a special "PH" handshake, so I will know (although I never shake people's hands at work...)?

I don't shake people's hands because (a) you don't know where they've been, and (b) you don't know what they might have that you can catch (scabies and hep B/C spring to mind).

To avoid "stereotyping", I just don't shake hands with anyone. Some people do, I don't. I'll happily explain why to people though.

Absolutely, same here.
Also, I don't accept cups of tea, who knows what's in it.

OK, make mental note not to shake hands or offer to make tea for Bib next time I'm stopped.

Your no shaking hands rule did initially surprise me Dibble, but now that you've explained I suppose it does make sense. In your line of work you'll have to deal with all sorts of unsavoury characters, unlike most of us. I guess we're lucky in that respect.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Is that meant to mean that you are not unsavoury, or that you don't have to mix with "those types"...

And I explained what "blat" and "hoon" meant before ca092003 did...

I prefer to think I'm not an unsavoury character, but what I meant was that most PHers, unlike police officers, presumably do not have to involve themselves with such characters.

Thinks: 'It seems I've made hard work of this, I wish I had left well alone now.'

Ah yes, so you did, and thank you for that. I must read the threads more carefully.

Best wishes all,
Dave - slinks away embarrassed.

Liebchen - I have little pill which will make you all (Dibs, gone, Strassen und gemini und Slider) think
"140 mph ist safe.... speed ist good .. Wildy ist super speedy but safe driver ..pink flashing scams und twin talivans are bad .... M6 in Cumbria ist good for a nice safe blat....There ist kein Problem at Ings ....und so on. Speed cams don't save lives.... und so weiter ....."

I keep sending e-mail to invite Steviebabes for tea laced mit the calming catnip potion - but he returns them as spam ....

Have the very oddest feeling we may have met in the supermarket - a wimpish looking bloke told me to slow down in the supermarket aisles as I was "walking too fast!" He looked like a total wus! - has to be him!

Und he remarked on my Swiss accent sounding familiar as well... it was weird! Und he shouted after me not to drive as fast as I shopped!

Steviebabes - I know you lurk ... that was not you - was it?
