Hi,

Just as a matter of interest, I'd like to know the full spec and list of options fitted to my Cayman (which I'm due to collect on Saturday).

Is there any way of finding out?

Thanks,

Dan

the sticker on the inside of the handbook will have all the option codes fitted to the car including the colour code etc.

Then google Porsche Option Codes to work out what they are.

Ok, thanks. I'll have to wait until I pick up the car in that case.

I have since found this (which presumably is what you were talking about) http://www.kindel.com/porsche/options/options.asp

You could try calling a friendly Porsche dealer (Parts department is a good bet), it all appears on their system against the VIN.

Ok, I'll see what the handbook says when I collect the car. I was just trying to find something interesting to do during my lunch break!

I have found out that it has some additional leather options. I'm not sure exactly what the option(s) is, but it's got a leather centre console, dash, instrument binnacle, doors etc. Looks really nice. It's also got PCM 2.1, phone, Bose and I think the better seats. I think it's a pretty high spec car.

I did this for mine and noticed that some of the option codes can be model specific i.e. code 123 means one thing on a 997 but another on a 986. Confused the hell out of me until I was more specific in my googling.

Not all handbooks have the sticker - mine doesn't. Dealer drop-off perhaps.

Probably just an oversight, most handbooks have them.

On the Boxster there's a sticker on the inside of the front trunk lid with the paint code & any options the car has on it. I would imagine its the same for the Cayman? Link below or a google search for Boxster/Cayman option codes will guide you to sticker location.
