Knock and cam sensor location AJP?
Discussion
I can't seem to find them, I've looked EVERYWHERE, manual car can't find any information on them?

Kidding.
But on a serious note, where would be the best place to locate them. The cam sensor will give me the ability to run fully sequential injection otherwise with just a crank sensor the firing timing is some what ambiguous. Perhaps even 1 sensor for each cam? Or will all information be able to be derived from just one? Still trying to figure that out.
My idea was to machine them in to the casing somewhere but ideas are welcome!
Given I will also be cutting 40 thou off the heads to bring it up to red rose specs, it will be WELL worth my time having a knock sensor. maybe even two didn't know weather to machine one either side of the block on opposite ends? Or would 1 be sufficient.

As the cam timing is fixed relative to the crank (no phasing, variable lift, etc.) then a single cam sensor should give you all the information you need for sequential fueling, which is essentially just what part of the 720 degree cycle you are on (which obviously cannot be derived from just a crank sensor).
My only experience is seeing knock sensors in the centre of the V, one fore and one aft. However, no idea whether that would be appropriate with a flat plane crank. Presumably it would be impossible to locate which bank has the knock, so both would have to be retarded.
Sorting out a cam position sensor is likely to be more of a challenge.
