Hi all, i'm thinking about venturing to Thruxton next week for the BTCC. What's it like there as a spectator and photographer? Do you have similar freedom as you do at Brands, Donington etc. What are the 'best' places to photograph from as someone new to the circuit? Looking at the circuit layout, it looks like a pretty fast one. Any advice appreciated smile

The final corner (chicane) was always my favourite spot to hang out (on the inside of the fence), from what I recall there was only a chest high fence seperating the press and public (~5-10m behind tog trackside area), it always gave way to pics such as these:-

Roughly half the circuit is accessible to the public. Clockwise from Club Chicane where you're likely to arrive at first...

Club Chicane

Hopping fun, gets busy though and people will get spots super early and stay till the end, so don't expect to get a good spot on Sunday, Saturday is fine though...

Allard Corner

Fenced off for 'coming at you' angles, but nice and low if you want to play around with them heading away...

Pit Exit to Campbell Corner

Lots of low fencing along here and very high speeds, so great for panning...

Campbell Corner

Heading away again but great fun for some different hopping...

Segrave Corner

Looking back at Campbell or them hitting Segrave itself is fun here, super low public angle...

Segrave Exit

Through the fence, just don't go on Youtube and search for Kelvin Burt, otherwise you may think twice about standing here...

Noble Corner

Newish (very high) banking, not much in it for photographers...
