I share a MR2 Turbo with my son as a track car. We have to drive it to the track days so it has to be insured for normal road use. It's not heavilly modified. The insurance is coming up for renewal. Does anybody have any recommendations for brokers or companies who would be good for this type of car.
Thanks in anticipation.

Greenlight have always been great for me. Although they wont insure BMW's or any car going around Castle Combe Circuit frown

Other than that, I've found the prices and service nothing but good.

That's what I call service, I only put the question up 2 minutes ago. Thanks for that, I'll give them a call in the morning.

Another vote fro Greenlight. THey insure my Supercharged MX5 for a good price. In fact they're a proper broker. THey give me options without me even asking at renewal time.

I insure my E30 M3 though Competition Car Insurance and it's underwritten by Aviva. I listed all the modifications and am automatically covered for 4 track days and 4 sprint events per year. I can add more if required.

Thanks for that. It'll be Tuesday before I can speak to anybody now. I'll let you know how I get on.

Are you hoping to insure it on the trackday as well? Our beemer is not worth insuring on track, so we just have basic cover to get us to and from the tracks, in which case it was cheapest to add it as another car on my multi car policy.

We weren't going to bother insuring it for the track, just to get there and home. It's because it's got modifications that some companies are a bit sticky.

Competition Car Insurance, or currently I insure with Need 2 Insure. A little cheaper than CCI and great service. Ask for Richard Wass.

Thanks fro all the suggestions guys. Unfortunately my office sent me abroad for work and I left before any normal working people were at work on Tuesday. I'm going to renew with my current insurer again for this year and do some research before I need to renew next year.
