My car has decided that it doesn't like starting when cold anymore. It's taking a few attempts to even get it to run whilst keeping the revs up with the throttle and it feels like it is only running on about 3 cylinders. Once running for a minute or two it's ok, apart from being slightly hesitant reving from tickover. I'm guessing water has got in somewhere. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Marcus

Could be the old water/damp getting into the spark plugs, or possible the leads them selfs, they don`t have a long service life
There again you will get some Escort owner telling you your engine`s knackerd

It's ok, I make a point of only listening to Seat drivers.

I took it out for a decent spirited drive today to get it properly warmed up and it seems to be reving more cleanly. I'll have a look at the plugs and leads tomorrow and see if it's anything obvious.
