Looking for something cheap but good - handy for tourists, preferably with parking.

PH massive - I leave it to you

Los Angeles - that sounds great

Trying to do it all cheap - so $120 per night or less for a couple

ummm - thanks Apache - we'll use them next time we're not in California as they don't have presence there

We stayed here for 3 weeks just after christmas, it's fine as a base, has parking ($20 a day IIRC) and is on US 101 so should make getting places easy. It also has complimentary internet access so you don't have to miss PH!

Los Angeles:

The Standard Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.

Great pool overlooking LA, a stone throw away from the Mondriand and Sky Bar.

Not too expensive, stylish and interesting population.
