Well it's obviously made by Americans who have trouble with spelling.
But other than that, it looks like someone has been listening to the huge number of valid complaints from WoT's players... it just wasn't WG
With major changes to XP, sorting out arty, classes which look useful and balanced, gameplay modes which require co-op it looks like this game could iron out many of WoT's issues. I also particularly like the thread where they say people will NOT be banned etc for comparing AW to WoT or WarThunder (so long as it's not plain rude) and no-one has to say "the other game" instead (although it seems everyone likes too!), which is very different to WG's heavy use of the BanHammer on the forums.
Anyway, I completely failed to be invited to the Closed Beta; they've announced (slightly) early access to the Open Beta along with a few other perks as "Founder Packs". I've bought the medium "Merc" pack as a punt on a game that I hope grabs me at least as much as WoT did in the beginning (I still pay the odd amount to WG now... I really don't mind for my #1 game). This was also after spending an hour looking through some of the gameplay vids on their site - even the early ones are clearly pretty darn good

I signed up for beta some time ago, but didn't get in. I haven't played WoT for over a month now and to be honest I'm not sure I can face all the bulls
t around that game, especially the problem with artillery, any more.
While AW looks good and they seem to actually listen to suggestions, I'm don't care enough about it to pay for early access.

I'm not really worried about the early access or premium days - I fancied some Gold, a premium TD (I like TDs in WoT), and the commander who is supposed to be extra useful. It was only 20 quid - I've paid much more for games I've hardly touched!Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
