A cam shouldn't make any difference to the noise and certainly won't be a problem with the MOT unless the car is running to richsmile

If the bangs are bigger then the sound will be louder smile
With apologies to Keith Duckworth,

We have a Monkfish small cam fitted. Video clip was taken at the 007 mini-meet, a month or so ago.

This was to show the difference using cutouts on a standard exhaust though. It does rock 'n roll on idle. smile

Yes I've got a MF2 cam, the sound has changed quite a lot and for the better apart from the start up, before the cam install it would bark and spit at you and scare people now it's much more layed back (to me) Video below.

Power is most definitely up but how much I'm not sure as I've not been to SRR yet to get an after result.

Mot isn't due until October so can't help you on that one.

Wow that sounds awesome, so the first is warm and the second cold? It sounds so much different! It is really rough sounding, exactly what I am after.

Warm enough for the revs to settle, Vince asked me about it when I got the car back and this is what I wrote...

Hi Vince, yes I got it back yesterday. WOW WOW and WOW it's so much stronger, the cam noise is to die for, and it just revs and revs.
It's a very different car to drive now and perhaps not for everyone, it will take some getting used to. In the first 50 miles I've done since picking it up the biggest down side is the heavy throttle and I mean heavy. I'll have to see i there's anything that can be done. On startup it revs to 1200 then drops to 850-900 ish after 10-15 seconds, I'm going to put a video up tomorrow if I get chance. It's just getting going that's the art, once going it's fine 4th gear at 30mph isn't a problem or 6th at 50. I think the heavy throttle is due to the large butterfly in the throttle body (spring probably)
Ian...

If you're going this route drive one first as I've made my car very personalised to me and not for everyone.

Having had the considerable pleasure of sitting behind MrC's car for some time, what the videos don't communicate is the bassier side of the sound.

The car sounds a lot throatier than the videos get across, but this is quite common with most videos of cammed cars, phones and normal cameras aren't really targeted at picking up those sorts of frequencies
