2012 focus zetec s stop/start problem

Hi all, I'm wondering if somebody could perhaps point me in the right direction. I have a 2012 focus zetec s 1.6 ecoboost, and the stop/start appears to have stopped working. It was in the local ford garage yesterday and they found that the battery was only at 68% capacity so they started to charge it up, However because i need the car for the bank holiday i had to pick it up without getting the full charge so the technician told me i should trickle charge the car over night to full capacity and it should sort it. I consequently did this last night and this morning the smart charger confirmed the battery was full, yet after a long run this morning (to get everything up to temp) the stop/start will not work and the light where the button is,is constantly illuminated and won't do anything when i press it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the stop/start not working because the alternator isn't charging properly? I've an '11 Focus without the eco-bks but plenty of other gadgets to go wrong in time

i assume the alternator is charging the battery properly as we've never had any issues with the battery. The only reason i think it was at 68% capacity is because it was in a body shop a couple of months ago having a door replaced and i have a funny feeling they may have left the interior light on. From what I've read it could be a million and one things causing it not to work.
