E46 M3, SMG - Clutch bite point reset

Hello.
I'm getting a little judder when pulling off the line in 1st/2nd (generally run around in Auto 1 so it pulls off in 2nd) and I wanted to try having the bite point on the clutch reset to see if that can stop it occuring before looking into having the clutch replaced.
Called my local dealer who said they would need the car for a few hours and they would need to take the car out for a few longs runs to recalibrate everything, which seems to differ from everything I have read which suggests its reset via software (please correct me if I am wrong
). Not wishing to be too sceptical about it I imagine that they might just turn around and tell me it needs a clutch replacement anyway..
Does anyone know of a good independent in the Lincolnshire/Nottingham/Yorkshire area that would at least be able to do the recalibration,
if it needs a clutch, it needs a clutch and I will get it done, not had the car too long so the warranty I would hope would cover it.

If I remember correctly, drive the car along at about 30 mph, put the car in neutral and pull both paddles back. Hold them for about 20 seconds and that resets the software. Then go for a play and drive the car hard for a bit. Used to have the same issue with my E46 especially if doing a lot of short town journeys. This procedure seemed to sort it out. Hope it works for you.

Put it in option 2 and it will start in first and won't slip the clutch Everytime you set off.
