Anyone else heard about this on the Radio

Kids running up 2 people and slapping them to see there reactions then videoing it ona phone

Yeah, saw this on (I think) BBC london news on Tuesday night - they had footage the culprits had taken on their video phones. Mostly filmed on London buses - one instance was hitting a young woman, another they slapped some guy asleep. Quite disturbing but also (I'm ashamed to say) slightly comical.

I have seen some of these before, I think its being going on for at least a few months. It is quite scary stuff. It is a lot more violent then the tango ad's that I notice some people seem to be drawing parallels with.

And the videos (that I saw) were very much about intimidation and humilation. A large gang of yoof with the victim being generaly alone, sometimes female (it actually appears that it is now perfectly accepteable amongst some of these gangs to hit a woman)

Fortunatly by videoing and distributing their crimes they are showing a level of darwinism which should lead to their quick demise

They're very selective about who they slap apparently. i.e anyone who looks remotely menacing is avoided.

I think it would be funnier if someone tried to slap me... to find them picked up by the scruff of the neck and either deposited over the side of Waterloo bridge or taken to the nearest police station.

Sounds like a bunch of cowards to me, hopefully when they are caught the woman can retaliate by poking them with a cattle prod

If someone did that to me - I'd react the same way. Very, very violently. I realise this isn't a good reaction to have. But its honest.
