Wiring speakers to two separate amps....
Discussion
I have a Cyrus system that I play through a pair of Dali Ikons. I hav had a play with my home cinema system which consists of a Yamaha RX- 675 and the B&W M1 satellite speaker system. I wired up my Ikons so that they are the front Left and Right and then used the M1s at the front Extended Surround Sound.
The Dali's have connections to take plugs from both AMPS if I leave the jumper bar in place. I can leave one socket free and just change over the AMPS power supply so that only one will ever be powered.
Is it ok to do this or will it cause damage to any of the components?
Cheers in advance

So let me clarify, you want the option to power 1 set of speakers from either your music amp or your home cinema amp?
If so, the way you are suggesting is a bad move. The extra terminals (dependent on the speaker) will likely be for bi-amping (where you drive the mid and high portions of the speaker independently) or bi-wiring (a nonsense idea cooked up by retailers to sell you twice as much speaker cable.
If they are there for bi amping, then when you remove the jumper bars one amp will only drive the lows, and one only the highs. This is obviously not harmful, just pointless. If they are for bi wiring, then they will also be connected together internally. Thus even when you remove the jumper bars, the output of one amp will be driving the input of the other. This may let magic smoke out of them!
A better option could be to use a pre out from the home cinema amp, running to the hifi amp as an input. Then you get the integration with the home cinema without changing cabling around or blowing things up.

What abbotsmike said; Pre out from Yamaha to Cyrus input is the way to do it. If so, the way you are suggesting is a bad move. If the Yamaha and Cyrus are connected to the Dalis, with the jumper links in place, each amp will 'see' the output stage of the other amp as the load. This load is likely to be hundredths of an ohm rather than the 4 to 8 ohms the amps were designed for. Recipe for magic smoke.
