So the work continues

Thought I'd start the mammoth task of improving the paint work........you can see how bad the original paint work is.......and you can see the discolouration under the spoiler mounts and 350i sticker (taken off to replace with Red ones)

First up was to "wet sand" the whole boot lid using 2000 wet n dry sand paper

Then hit it with my 2 stage autoglym abrasive paint restorer...........finished off with a bit of normal polish and buff off

Now it's never going to be concours but a huge improvement and will do me nicely :-)

Very impressive. If you've a dull day and fancy "practicing" your paint shining skills on my Wedge then I'll pop right over. I'll even bring the biscuits. hehe

This is the reason I like old things. Cars, or anything else. I can look and see its potential, and for that you need to have a vision. Some people discard items because it looks old or faded, but with hard work and a little know how, most things can be brought back to life. You need to have imagination, and realise it's potential. That boot lid looks superb and I think the rest of the car will too, given the same treatment. Well done. You too, are a man with a vision and an eye for scope and potential.
