Planning on increasing my cardio, and am planning on going in the morning before breakfast.
I've been advised to have an espresso shot before to kick start my metabolism.
I'm not a coffee person, can I replace it with half/1 scoop of pre workout (Dr. Jekyll) ??

It says to not exceed two scoops per day and i will be taking one before I train.
Fairly new to pre workout so not sure if I should be limiting it to once a day or taking it in cycles?

seems a sure fire way of building up a caffeine tolerance very quickly and then a dependency on pre-workout.

There isnt really a need to cycle pre-workout but you find yourself going from 1 scoop to 1 and a little bit, then 1 and a half before eventually combing pre-workout, coffee and sticking a fork in a wall socket in order to feel the buzz you got when you first started.

I would use it once on training day, follow the info from the canister about taking weeks off, Some people build up a tolerance quicker than others so go with how you feel.

I personally only use pre-workout while cutting and feel im struggling for energy then go caffeine free while bulking.

I'm guessing it wasn't a scientist told you to do that.

Why use a pre-workout anything? Aren't you sleeping properly?

Limit it to none, eat properly and get a good night's sleep. Coffee keeps you up by blocking the neurotransmitter adenosine from reaching the brain (more or less). It's adenosine that tells your brain to start shutting down when you're tired. Are you tired in the morning? Take enough caffeine and you stimulate epinephrine release - heart rate quickens etc...but this happens anyway before you go to exercise. Most cases caffeine is a placebo, but tests have shown a positive affect on cardio endurance. Lots of bbers take caffeine and creatine simultaneously and swear by them. Little knowing they cancel each other out. laugh
