Hello all. I know there's a few synth peeps here on PH. I have a Yamaha SY85 that's coming on for 25 years old now... Unfortunately it was hired to someone who has managed to get it stuck on particular sound and I can't get it to shifts at all.
I've gone through the manual and it seems a factory reset will be a good solution.. Unfortunately I don't have any of the floppy discs with the sounds needed to do this.

I've been looking online and can't see to find any..
Help...

First page I went to....

http://www.sector101.co.uk/downloads.html

http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/musical-instru...

http://www.yamahaforums.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?...

(fwiw, I google'd "Yamaha SY85 factory sounds" )

You'll also find the same thing as a SYSEX file.......

Can't help specifically as I've got an SY77 - the afm/awm version

Good luck

I'd have no idea how to get it on a floppy ad know one I know has a floppy drive anymore.. just wanted to source the discs ideally..

Appreciate the links though, I shall look again. .

It took me less than 10 seconds to find original factory discs for the SY85 on eBay for a few quid. I suggest you try doing the same.

The other way is to use the SYSex files - load them into your computer DAW (Logic/Cubase etc). Midi out of computer to MIDI in of SY.
Do a bulk dump smile
