I tend to use a lot of cream normally or whack a load of mayo on my plate, any suggestions for some healthier sauces to go with chicken?

Nothing unhealthy about cream. I wouldn't sweat it, just enjoy.

Lemon,

also spices instead of sauces.

I wouldn't say sauces are bad for you in moderation, you just have to watch that portion size.

'Light' versions of soft white cheese (Philadelphia-type) can be used to make really creamy sauces without high levels of fat.

We particularly like chunks of chicken browned in a bit of oil & then simmered gently until cooked in a sauce made from low fat soft cheese & chicken stock. Onions, garlic, chopped chills, peppers etc. etc. added according to mood.

This freezes well — so we usually makeup a decent sized batch & freeze in portions for later use.

A fresh salsa goes well with chicken.

Coriander leaves
Lime juice
Olive oil
Fresh chili
Red Onion
Tomato skin off
One garlic clove minced
Splash of red wine vinegar
Salt

Finely chop ingredients and mix together.

“Oh chicken breast, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways… ”

Mustard: not just a sandwich condiment. Dijon mustard complements poultry perfectly.
Combine it with fresh thyme, salt, pepper, some white wine, and garlic, and you’ve got yourself a main course that’s perfect to serve with roasted potatoes, over pasta, or on salad greens.

Brown Sugar Spiced Baked Chicken
A quick, sweet, and savory dinner doesn’t get easier than this. Preheat the oven while you coat chicken in a blend of sugar, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, oregano and garlic. Bake for 20 minutes, and enjoy.

The 4-Ingredient Chicken Marinade
So simple yet so tasty.
Who knew that brown sugar, vinegar, oil, and soy sauce could produce something this good?

I wouldn't worry about cream, its sugary stuff you need to avoid

I've been a Mayonnaise lover for as long as I can remember....however, despite there being a 'light' version of Hellmans available, it's still basically 'fat in a jar' whichever way you look at it! biggrin

So, when I went on a massive diet, I switched to Heinz 'Low Calorie' salad cream as an alternative. Ok, it doesn't have the creaminess of mayo, but I grew to love it too - and as it has a much stronger flavour than mayo, I found I could get away with using it far more sparingly.

Instead of mayo try mashing up some fresh avocado.

could always try a bit of soy cream.

OH's lactose intolerant so we occasionally make soy ice cream, bit of fresh fruit it's beautiful and you'd never tell, yet a third of the cals.
