Is there anyone in the Herts/ N London area that I can take my car to get it set-up properly.

I had the GAZ suspension fitted on the car yesterday by a local garage, to the settings as advised by Tower View. Whilst the car is more stable at high speeds, however tight cornering feels "wooly"

I have read posts on here, however the likes of HarryW and Joospeed are over my head and comprehesion.

Any ideas ????????????

I will ask on Monday and report

What's up is it too soft on cornering?

Are you within reach of Aylesbury? Topcats race team have the full setup gear and their own private test track.

Yep... I think its soft at the front....???

Also wondering it my wheels are angled correctly..???

So I think I need to find a friendly expert who can interupt my simple language into something comprehendible in terms of set up.

I only use the car for hooning around...... but it would be nice to be able to chuck it into a corner with out lifting off because I feel the front wheel on the passanger side is going to slide off line.

I am not a great driver but I enjoy it.

So Bugsy.... if you know anyone local be greatful to hear....

If not.... Topcats sounds the ticket, although a little daunting ... ie out of my depth with knowledge and technical words.... ie understeer???? oversteer ????? as far as I ma concerned it just don't feel right.

Ohhh well that might have to wait till Mid Feb.... only about 30 miles left on insurance

I reset my front shocks a bit soft today, so I know what you mean, IMHO its a bit of an individual thing
and you need to experiment, Mind you I'm playing with AVO's which may be simpler than Gaz shocks.
Do you know how to adjust them and how much adjustment you have, I have 22 settings on the AVO's, so loads to play with

Well I've got 40 setting settings so there

Seriously though..... I think the rear of the car needs lowering a bit, as it does not look quiet right.
I would hope in turn that this slightly raises the front so the bonnet can open to be put on its stay.
It opened yesterday so the front must have dropped a little over night.

The rear appears .5 inch higher then the front.

I beleive the adjustment is similar to the AVOs by twiddling a knob.

Garages are great.
Especially when your mate owns one and lets you use the ramp on a Saturday morning.

And even better when he says "you don't want to do it like that", "really, show me how you would do it while I make the tea and get the rolls".

Luverly Jubbly

But seriously, I understand the car should be level and with the ride height correct, the bonnet should open ok
