Errol Brown from Hot Chocolate has just passed away,they were still touring and singing well too,a little guilty pleasure of mine when i was at the school,loved 'Girl Crazy' R.I.P Errol!

Nice guy. Spent a lot of time back in the late 70s with him and Patrick Olive. Really good times and sad to hear of his passing.

Sad news. Errol always came across as a properly decent guy whenever I saw or read interviews with him - no ego, but very gifted. Wrote some truly classic songs in their 70's heyday, and I think under-appreciated even today.

Very sad.... I loved his voice and his music was a big part of my teenage years.

In my early 20's I remember overtaking his Rolls Royce on my motorbike and being quite thrilled at having seen him - and then, about ten years ago, I met him briefly. Such a nice man.

Really saddened by the news.

Shaun Keaveny did a tribute this morning, ending in 'It Started With A Kiss'. The list of celebrities who paid tribute to him is wide and varied; a testament to his talent and humanity.

In the seventies I was very much a rock/prog rock fan, so the likes of Hot Chocolate shouldn't have appeared on my radar, but they did.
They always appeared to be a quality, proper band and I reckon much of this was down to Mr Browns presence, a top front man.
