£90K to spend - DBS, Virage or V12V
Discussion
Intend to own for 2 years and do 15K miles a year. Rear seats would be useful for occasional use by kids but not essential
Not sure about the DBS body styling but like the performance.
Want something different to the standard DB9.
Not sure I will be happy with the DBS/ Virage handling versus the V12V.
Which will keep their value better at the end of the 2 years?

If you need v12 and rear seats then the Vantage is out of course
I think all the others are same for rear seats...rears I found both useful up to 5' tall for around 20 minute journeys and i am 6' in the driving seat, after 5' in the rear it's a '2+1' not '2+2' car and then only for 20 minutes.
If you're comparing a Virage to the first DB9 then I would advise go for the Virage (as I have one and I love it
) from my limited experience to a DB9.1, it's a sharper to drive: steering and acceleration. It's a 'fun' car to drive. Not as chuckable as a Vantage of course, but stick it in sport (or wear heavy shoes), go to manual press the suspension button and have a 'sprited' drive!
Then put into auto and switch off sport and the former suspension and cruise around town.
For resale ... Personally I would go with a manual DBS.

Pardon! Not sure about the prettiest Gaydon era car ever made...take another look!Back seats are pretty much useless except for small children on very short journeys.
Have a drive of them all...you'll soon now which one you prefer.

I'd go for Virage out of that list.
Prettiest car there by a fair way, and I'm sure they will become a bit of a future classic in years to come due to the rarity.
Would £90k get you a DB9.2? That's the same power as the DBS therefore should be best of both worlds.
DB9.2 also has the new variable valve engine the Virage or the DBS do not.....but i would still have the DBSPrettiest car there by a fair way, and I'm sure they will become a bit of a future classic in years to come due to the rarity.

9.2's are just about in budgetThanks guys and some interesting comments.
I remember I think reading that the Volante's on the DB9 didn't handle as well as the coupes by quite a margin. Was this the case and if so I assume its the same for the DBS/ Virage. Also the legroom in the back I should imagine is even worse. My occasional rear passengers are 10 and 7, and a 12 year old in the passenger seat. I have another car for longer journeys.
I do prefer the look of the Virage but prefer the DBS.
Hadn't thought about a DB9.2 but won't they depreciate quicker over two years?
I'm going to do 15K a year .. is this sensible?!

At that price point on those types of cars you will depreciate at approximately £857 per month on average - it is not a flat line with slightly higher in the first year and less on the second year.
This was my experience on my old DB9 from £90k over 3.5 years
If you want a pretty car go for the feminine DB9 or Virage. If you want a masculine car with the ultimate road presence go for the DBS (I have).
If you're a nut job with a death wish then opt for the V12V
