Can someone clarify for me how TVR measured their declared weights please?

My 1992 Griffith was weighed very recently on an accurate set of corner scales & it came in at an empty weight of 1028kg with approx 20lt fuel. I've not done anything intentional to lighten it, the only thing I've done is to change the driver's seat.

I believe that official EEC Kerb Weights are:-

All fluids, half a tank of fuel and a driver. So you might be the weight of a driver = 75kg up on your measured weight.

And no I don't come in at 75kg unfortunately.

I thought it was accepted that Griffs and Chims were listed at under 1000 kgs kerb weight, so your figures appear within expectations.

Wedges heavier (up to 1150 kgs) because of thicker bodywork panels.

Hi Graham,

What about the two model SEAC weights?

I thought even the F/G model was a shade under 1,000kg.
