Quick question gearbox removal fwd car

So last week had the gearbox changed on my Laguna mk3 would you normally have to get the front wheels off to do this ?

They may well have just released the lower wishbones and yanked the wheels to pull the driveshafts ftom the box, so I'd say not neccessarily.

Reason I ask is the abs wire was hanging off one wheel this morning and wondered if connected too recent work
