Just heard about they religious NUTTERS, want all girlies banned from advertising etc.....
HEy you eejits...we're not a backward eastern desert country where we have to trek for 30 miles to get water, and we don NOT subscribe to your backward heathen views! It's our country and our way of life...if you don't like it then lump it, if you can't lump it then get the hell out! You're at least as bad as the born again freaks....FFS, lets get back to common sense in this country, we are not going to be run by minorities of less than 0,1% of the population or even 3%.....

Whilst I do not agree with some of the sentiments these people have a right to be heard in free Britian how wacky their case.

I heard one of them on Radio 5 last night saying how they were ofended by adds for underwear and a poster of a nude girl sunbathing.

Interesting that it was not muslims ringing up the BBC to complain about when Jerry Springer the Opera was shown.

That is exactly my problem, I've lived in Muslim countries and they're nothing as radical as these loonies..... Every one is entitled to their views BUT the majority decide... (except of course in Führer bLIARS socio-fascist state!)

Whilst I don't agree with the whole premise of banning adverts showing sunbathing people etc, I find the tone of your post highly offensive.

If you lived in the middle east you will know that you don't have to "trek for 30 miles to get water" and generally are not that "backward" or "heathen"

You make some good points and have a good cause to further, but have spoiled it with some ridiculous and offensive comments.

Obviously you haven't read the control orders and terrorism laws which Blunderkit brought in, they're pure nazi propaganda, the texts are word for word from various nazi laws passed between 35 and 1937.... "control the proles as they might get stroppy an execute us" attitude!
I left Britain under the last bunch of socio-fascists (Fatty Wilson and his murdering scum) and I certainly won't return under fascist bLIAR unles it's to get involved in a real revolution to ensure his socio-fascist views and his government get erradicated

Yes I have read the laws and I live in this country. But that's got nothing at all to do with your previous post and the offensive language you used.

Sorry if I trod on your toess 968, however when I was in the middle east, it was that way, Dubai consisted of about 15 mud huts and a fort, the only larger towns were high rise mud huts (in the Hadramaut, if you know where that is) (fantastic engineering) and one did have to go 30 miles for water, as the old (1500 years old) water systems had collapsed due to ignorance..And I'm not forgetting that they had universities and medical schools while we were still wandering around in animal skins!!!!

Perhaps you would like to step into the present, where Dubai isn't like that at all, but one of the most modern and cosmopolitan cities in the world.

While I don't agree with these headcases forcing their opinions on me I wouldn't miss gutter press front pages of birds arses as they are snapped getting into a taxi. It's pretty demeaning

Apology accepted, but there's no need to stoop to the lowest common denominator when making a point, which is simply common sense, and the majority of people will agree with you. Ironically these were the techniques of the nazis, to ridicule and debase their opposition so they could be dehumanised.

As much as I hate Bliar, I am not sure I totally agree with this, I think it's more like the case put forward by "The Power of Nightmares."

Governments have lost their control over us, and have become more like managers. In the past they could lead and inspire by idealism, but now people are wary of them, so they lead by instilling fear. Recently they have done this by manufacturing threats, (like WMDS and 45minute claims, or more controversially, like the whole Al Qaeda thing, of which there is good evidence doesn't really exist at all, and is the manufacture of the FBI).....

Not to say there aren't any threats, but they are not manifest in the way the govt says they are.

I quite agree.

If I wanted to look at the gusset of some minor celebrity, then I'd look on Google in the comfort of my own home.

It really is tasteless to see this dross on the front page of tabloids, displayed where it is almost inevitably going to be commented on by my nine and four year old daughters.

It wasn't quite so bad when it was on page three of The Sun, but it is everywhere now.

Censorship is an invasive and evil thing. Look at the way we were not allowed to head Garry Adams' voice only a decase ago..... how mad was that?

But a bit of taste and dignity might not go amiss.

Cheers

Pat

Well said that man! There's nothing wrong with a tastefully photoed bit of advertising, but paparazzi shots of some nonentity celeb's knickers is not in any way tasteful.....
