Well there is this liquid substance inside, it that the wash fluid?!

I have had a quick look. guess I could put a 12v supply on to the motor to see if it is that, just wondered if you know which circuit it is on. I will find the fault then I can give advise.

Soz mate, couldn't help it

Can you hear the pump working when you pull the stalk?

Wonder if the contacts on the stalk are worn/dirty!
if the wipers work at least you know there's a feed to the stalk.

Cr@p time of the year to have no wash wipe!.

sounds like you have a blockage somewhere

start at the jet and work your way back.....

I just fitted my car with the washers from a peugeot 405 because the Lotus ones keep getting blocked (think they must rust from the inside). The peugeot ones fit to the wipers themselves and work a treat.

Thought as much, is the nozzle easy to remove and unblock? is it a standard part (Vauxhall etc..)or something specific to the Elise ??

you can unblock it with an air line, no big deal but id its anything like mine it will block again in no time.

I find that when you polish a car you need to be really careful not to run the cloth over the jets as this is 9/10 the reason for a blocked washer jet. Peugeot 405 conversion sounds interesting - I'll defo have a look into it!
