Getting a "rare" scalextrix valued?
Discussion
Hi all
My first visit into this forum - and I'm after some advice.
My dad has got an old Scalextric Triang car which he's had in the loft for years, which he recently unearthed.
Its a "21 HP ALFA ROMEO MM/C 65" - looks like this one:

He took it into a dedicated Scalextric shop a few years ago and asked the guy what it was worth, and the chap said "it'll be one of the recent reproductions, you won't have an original". When it turned out to be an orignal, the bloke said it was worth upwards of £100 and that he'd never seen one before.
Well anyway, that shop is no long gone, and my dad is looking to sell the model as he doesn't want to hang onto it any more.
Any experts in here who could venture a price, or recommend any shops near Berkshire? Or is it best to just stick it on eBay and let the gods decide?
Thanks

Looking at sold eBay listings, £50 - £80 seems to be the norm, depending on condition and box. A few get higher.
