would it have been 272 MOK or.......MOK 272?

I once had an Anglia 750 SKO, I think when it is the other way it is the earlier series, my dad had a Jaguar 1 1/2 Litre of the late 40s and was KLE 144....

It's a Birmingham number, issued at the time when old style combinations were running out.

MOK 272 would be an earlier plate than 272 MOK. As it's from an area of high-density population, my guess is that they would have run out of 'letters/numbers' registrations earlier than many other parts of the country.
So my guess is 272 MOK.

(I had a '61 105e, registered in London: 809 BYW).

Agreed MOK 272 was between June 52 and May 53, 272 MOK April - Sept 64.

I haven't a clue on this one only that my parents had a 1948 Ford E93A reg` EDP 672 and then a 1960 Morris 1000 reg` WRD 98. both registered in Reading Berks.
