I left the side lights on over night and now my battery is dead. Cant get in nothing.

I have the Leven jump leads and have connected them up to a mates car battery but nothing is happening even after 5 minutes left running.

I have checked the connection to make sure there is no oil etc on the plug and as far as i can see it is fine, but still no joy.

What can I do, great oracle that is PH?

Hi,

Relay melted and turned my lights on 4 me!!! so had exactly same prob a couple of months ago.

Call AA, if not a member, join (this can come in handy in the future.....)

They will use more powerful batts or batt box, your m8's car won't be unuff. Generally, they'll link up 2 or 3 in series.

Once connected leave it to trickle charge for 10 mins. Don't flood it, by keep trying it!!!

Now look forward to people walking past you with big grins on their faces with your car lined up next to an AA van

Good luck m8

I tried to start mine once with one of those
little portable power supply's and the Leven
leads connected to the under car socket and
nothing happened.I found out when I then removed
the battery cover that the earth connection from
the socket had not been connected to the battery.
Once bolted back on started easily with the small
power supply I had.
